2021 ACMA Awards Contest

Arkansas College Media Association

The Arkansas College Media Association will not hold a 2021 Spring Convention due to student safety concerns as a result of COVID-19. The Annual Awards Contest will still continue as planned.

The contest will open Monday, February 15, 2021 and continue through 11:59 p.m. on Monday, March 1, 2021.

Cash awards and scholarships may be awarded to the first place winner in the General Excellence “Best of” categories. In the event that multiple persons contributed to the winning entry, the award will be will shared. If the category receives no entries, no cash award will be disbursed.

Awards will be announced by Friday, April 9, 2021

ACMA will post the winners online with a link added to its Facebook page. Each school may host its own ceremony if it wishes if when the virus allows.

ACMA plans to hold its 2022 Spring Convention in Jonesboro at the Embassy Suites – Red Wolf Center. Many of the expected speakers have indicated that they will participate in 2022.

The ACMA Awards honor top student work within Arkansas two-year and four-year colleges and university publications.  Awards are selected for overall excellence in a head-to-head comparison. Students publishing in news, magazine, yearbook, online, radio and TV formats are all-eligible.  During the ACMA contest, publications are judged on their excellence as shown by their design, photography, concept, coverage and writing.
