2020 Contest Info

Contest Submissions:

Registration for individual contests is done through Better Newspaper Contests. The process for setting up a new account and uploading entries is described here.

Make sure that you check your file size before you submit your entry. 

The Better Newspaper Contest site has a file size limit of is 20MB per file. For files larger than 20MB the contestants can upload the file to a third-party site such as Dropbox or Google Drive, then copy and paste a URL into the entry form.

Advisers: After entering contest categories at the Better BNC site, please send payment with your completed copy of the 2020 Spring Convention Pre-Registration Form. Fees are non-refundable. No on-site registration for individual contests will be accepted. Membership in Arkansas College Media ($20) is required.

Registration Deadline:

Registration MUST be postmarked by Mar. 14, 2020, and online submissions for the contest MUST be uploaded no later than 11:59 p.m. CST on Feb. 28, 2020.

Event Location:

The ACMA 2020 conference will be held Friday, April 3, 8:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Embassy Suites by Hilton Jonesboro—Red Wolf Convention Center. The hotel is located on the campus of Arkansas State University.

A block of 10 rooms will be held for “Arkansas College Media Association” until 5 p.m., Thursday, March 12 at the conference rate of $119/room.  If you make a reservation after that date or time, the rate may be higher, and it’s possible no rooms will be available.

With taxes and fees at 13.5%, the actual total per night is $135.07.  Up to four may stay in a double bed suite and up to two in a king bed suite for that rate. Specify late arrival if you will arrive after 6 p.m. on April 2.
